6 Fun Web Apps for Instagram

While I feel I belong to an iPhone exclusive members only club with Instagram, it is cool to expand the fun with IG users and non-users across the web. Whether its checking stats (like who likes me most – LOL), discovering cool places to travel from other IG users, to making a cool coffee table book for my friends to check out or covering my fridge with mega magnets. Expand your Instagram fun from your iPhone to the web with these great programs.

Extragram - Created with the idea that there are many beautiful Instagram photos out there that should be easily shareable and viewable by the public. Extragram creates a gallery off the iPhone and on the web that makes it easy for Instagram users to discover these images. I enjoy it because I can share, comment, and like IG photos on the web. The difference between Instagram and Extragram – only on Extragram can you find the best shots, voted “most popular” by users. A cool feature is that you can view pictures based on geographical location, meaning you can search for photos taken in the same area that you are in. Just hit the IG icon on the home page to get started!

StickyGram – This emerged as people wanted for a way to make their Instagram images in to a more permanent form. StickyGram is the best way to make unforgettable mementos of the Instagram mobile photos you take, in the form of magnets. Each StickyGram magnet is about the same size as the photo viewed on your mobile phone, 50mm x 50mm. Coming in fully customizable packs of 9, you chose the exact combination of photos for your pack. Delivery for your magnets takes anywhere from 5-12 days, and typically the package is small enough to fit through your letter slot (no signing needed). I saw one of my IG friends cover her fridge with them. Way cool. ;)

Blurb – Don’t let your beautiful photos be forgotten on your Instagram app. Now you can share your Instagram photos in the form of a book. Three simple steps, $11 and you have yourself a 20-page soft-cover book showcasing your best and beloved photos.  Want more? Hardcovers or to up to 240 pages are offered as an upgrade. I’m thinking this would make great presents or a good coffee table book!

Statigram – Heralded as the best way to manage your Instagram persona online. It will give you a breakdown of your Instagram statistics, including the number of your uploads, what pictures are most popular, top tags, your followers, as well as comments, etc. Its a great tool to use to maximize your posts and Instagram output. And the best part of all? Statigram is a free program!

Webstagram – This is an Instagram web viewer. Keep up on your favorite IG users right at your PC. Webstagram offers you the ability comment from your PC/MAC to IG when you sign up/login to their site.  What I do enjoy about Webstagram is the ease in grabbing an Instagram link (by clicking the ‘O’ on a specific picture) when I need it for social sharing.

Inkstagram - Is another leading web interface for IG users (much like Extagram). In addition to other web interface programs, with Inkstagram you can create # hashtag albums to to group your favorite topics and make new friends. And you have the ability to view the Instagram photos you liked. They also have a $ button to unlock special offers like saving on a Blurb purchase.

Is there a web-based app that will post pictures to your instagram account? I’m looking for something to schedule posts like hootsuite will do with tweets.
